Photina™ was created by French lettering artist José Mendoza y Almeida specifically for the new phototypesetting technologies emerging in the early 1970s. It is a spicy text face with bite, its crisp forms seasoned with calligraphic flavor. Mendoza speaks lovingly of his creation: he says that Photina is "neither too stiff nor too pretty, neither too stark nor too lovely." The design’s strong character combined with Mendoza’s delicate detailing make this font a superb choice in both text and headline sizes. Character Set - Latin-1. Font Format - TrueType.
