Kootenay Pro Font
Kootenay™ Pro is a new sans serif design named for region in the Southwestern Canadian Rockies boudned by the 7-9,000 foot Selkirk and Purcell Mountain Ranges. The Ktunaxa people have lived in this valley for thousands of years and their petroglyphs can be seen on several cliffs from Kootenay Lake. The design features curvaceous diagonal stems on which combine with tapered terminals to produce a rich texture and an approachable appearance. The open counters and tall x-height make this design very suitable for interface designs while the typographic details are attractive for use at large sizes. The OpenType Pro feature set includes oldstyle figures, fractions, swash capitals, a titling case and an extended set of ligatures. Type Designer - Steve Matteson. Character Set - Latin-1, Extras.
