Grotesque Condensed

Grotesqueâ„¢ Condensed was among the first sans serifs developed for hot metal machine typesetting. Because they looked odd to many readers, the sans serif types introduced in nineteenth-century England were called Grotesque (Grotesk in German). The lighter weights work nicely in short texts; the bolder styles are excellent for display purposes, where they exhibit a distinctive, assertive character.
