Figaro™, a super-condensed Italienne slab serif, is based on the wood types often seen in nineteenth-century newspapers and advertising. Created by the Monotype™ Type Drawing Office in 1940, Figaro resurrects the untamed spirit of the American Wild West that shattered the staidness of the Victorian Era.
