Falstaff™, spawned by the Monotype™ Type Drawing Office in 1931, is modeled on early twentieth-century German display types. In keeping with the feisty Fat Face style, Falstaff’s heavy body and giant x-height contrast impishly with its delicate hairlines and fine serifs.
